Not only are most video game stores having Black Friday sales, but even though there are still five days to go before Black Friday arrives, most of those sales have already started. The Epic Games Store has gone in a slightly different direction with its Black Friday 2024 sale to differentiate itself, and it has done so by lowering the price of some very large, and in some cases still very new, luxury and special editions.
Often, once a game’s initial release is over, everything but the standard edition is forgotten. It makes sense because for the most part, only those who wanted the game enough to get it on release day would be willing to pay the extra for the deluxe edition. The better, more expensive editions are still out there, though, and between now and Cyber Monday they’ll be a lot cheaper than usual at Epic.

One of the best deals on the Epic Games Store right now is the 40 percent price reduction on the Ultimate Edition of Cyberpunk 2077. Not just because of the 40 percent discount drops the price to $47.99but because with this special edition you get more than an extra mission and extra skins. This edition of Cyberpunk is called Ultimate because it includes both the base game and the critically acclaimed Phantom Liberty DLC that CDPR added to the game in 2023.
Epic’s Black Friday sale is live and is slashing the price of many different Deluxe Editions

There are some newer games included in Epic’s Black Friday sale. Some very new games, such as the Gold Edition of Star Wars Outalws, are among the discount offers. The perfect time to pick up the game if you’re holding out after the Wild Card DLC, which is part of the Gold Edition, came out a few days ago. The Gold Edition is also the generally more expensive version that includes the Jabba’s Gambit mission, which was controversially omitted from the standard edition.
Despite launching in August, Outlaws doesn’t have the distinction of being the latest game included in Epic’s premium edition. That honor goes to Frostpunk 2 which has seen just two months of release the Deluxe Edition reduced to $67.49 on the Epic Games Store. Only a 10 percent discount, but better than nothing considering how new the game is.
There are a total of 100 different premium editions for sale currently at Epic on a sale that runs through Cyber Monday on December 2, 2024. Some of the other deluxe editions available for less include Alan Wake 2, Sonic Frontiers, Skull & Bones and Best of All : Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The Legendary Edition has an 80 percent discount now. Come on people, play it already, it’s awesome.
